I love to teach! I love helping a student progress from not understanding something, to feeling confident in their knowledge! I love to see that "light" go on when they finally understand a problem. I love sharing my love for learning and my love for music with others. I am a great problem solver and am able to adapt to each student's individual needs. I am a graduate student at Oklahoma City University where I am working towards a Master of Music in Opera Performance. Previously, I graduated from New England Conservatory where I earned a Bachelor's degree in Vocal Performance. I have tutored music theory (both written and aural skills), piano, economics, physics, and history. I have also taught private voice lessons. Additionally, I was a dance teacher at a summer performance camp for 4 years. I was a straight A student throughout high school and feel confident in tutoring most general education classes (math, history, science, reading, and writing). I love my family! I'm a Michigan-raised girl who comes from a big family, and my siblings are my best friends! I was homeschooled from K-12 and I loved every minute of it! I learned how to be a self-learner which I found to be invaluable throughout college. Being homeschooled also afforded me the opportunity to be involved in the extra-curricular activities I was interested in...like music! I was involved in musicals throughout high school and beyond. After high school I began studying music which teaching dance at performing arts camps and even choreographed and taught for main-stage musical productions. I also enjoy watching movies, riding bikes, reading, babysitting, dancing, teaching, theater, and exploring new places. I hope to travel the world someday!
